Fokus kajian riset dasar meliputi eksplorasi etnomatematika pada budaya dan tradisi-tradisi adat di Indonesia dengan menggunakan kerangka etnomatematika D\u2019Ambrosio dan Bishop. Fokus kajian riset pengembangan meliputi transformasi kontekstual dan konseptual ke dalam modul ajar dan model pembelajaran berbasis multikultur dan sosiomatematika. Selanjutnya, pada tahap riset terapan berfokus pada penerapan\/integrasi etnomatematika ke dalam pembelajaran multikultur dan sosiomatematika dengan muara kontribusi konteks dan konten dalam literasi
